This audiobook of 60 Seconds and You’re Hired by Robin Ryan touches on the various interviewing questions a person will handle that even cover on how to try to sell yourself when the listed qualifications you may have are obviously different from what the job is listed (which I admit that I’m still in the process of working on). Additionally, there is information raised on addressing the difficult issue of explaining the subject (multiple challenging scenarios) of why a person is interviewing for said job.

I have been looking for a job for approx. 6 months. I got several interviews, but could never 'seal the deal'. I was doing something wrong. I heard the same thing over and over again. "We were really impressed with your experience, skills and the overall interview, but we decided to go with someone else.' If I'm so wonderful, why are you going with someone else?About 2 weeks ago, I found this book by accident. I downloaded it on Monday night, read it Tuesday and Wednesday, and went on a job interview (applying the advice from the book) on Thursday AM during the interview. I got a call on Friday afternoon that I had got the job! This book is amazing! I truly believe that it will help you to find your dream job. Don't give up -- keep looking and in the meantime read this book! Thank you Robin for writing this book!

I had gone on interview after interview for five years and never understood how I wasn't getting a job with my qualifications and experience. I read this book and was offered a job after the first interview I had after reading this book. I can't believe how much it helped me in figuring out where I was going wrong. Thank you for writing such an amazing book! I have recommended it to a lot of people since reading it.

Interviewing has never been my strong suit. I've never been the kind of person to have multiple offers on the table at one time so I could have my pick and the reason for that is, hands down, my interviewing skills (or relative lack thereof). Thankfully, I work in a very niche field with limited competition. I have lots of experience, so, theoretically, I'm probably an attractive candidate to many companies "on paper." Anytime I've wanted or needed a new job, I've always been able to get the interviews - it's getting the job that has been the giant hurdle. I'm in a position now where I will need a new job due to a pending relocation. I was lucky enough to have a few interviews a few months ago, but, ugh, I messed up both of them! I just know I said something "bad" that turned them off completely. The problem is, I didn't really know what I said that was so bad. Given the situation I am in, I knew I would need some kind of "help," and I'm extremely grateful to have stumbled upon this book. This may be the best, most useful $10 I have ever spent! I would buy it again and again if I had to. I was able to finally realize that some of the answers I had were really ridiculous. That infamous "where do you see yourself in 5 years question" has always thrown me for a loop, in particular. Now, I've got a brilliant answer to that question thanks to this book! I even feel like my job search is picking up steam, so there are more and more chances for me to secure that elusive offer. In fact, I might be close to getting an offer very soon! Even though my recent job search isn't done, I feel like I'm a whole lot closer, and I think I've got an excellent shot at getting an offer all because of this book. I'm not messing up my interviews anymore - YAY!

I got this for my boyfriend after I have read it multiple times. I've never not gotten a job I interviewed for since reading this book. I haven't always made it to the interview, and I would like to think my personality does some of the work, but these tips and sample answers are great. I am the go-to that my friends ask for how to answer interview questions like "what's your greatest strength/weakness" and "why did you leave your last job." YES there ARE right and wrong answers here! All my answers to their questions came from this book!

I have this book and have bought it for multiple friends/family in job searches. It is not a comprehensive job hunting guide but instead a very quick read that helps you prepare an excellent interview strategy. This book helps anyone tailor his or her professional strengths into quick talking points that speak directly to a company or positions biggest needs. It gives you confidence to have solid answers to the tough interview questions. I've used this strategy to prep for interviews for the last decade, and most recently used it to land my dream job at a professional sports team's front office.

Add another tally to the author's collection of successful hires. After performing horribly on two recent interviews I bought this book for some much needed guidance. I was offered a job on my third interview using the suggestions in the book. I found the 60 second sell to be very effective and logical. I tend to ramble when I'm nervous so this really made me limit my introductory background information. Additionally, there is a comprehensive selection of hiring sample questions complete with effective responses which I found really helpful. I highly recommend it.

Lots of tips on how to behave on an enterview. Very good. I was glad I bought this book. Also consider the book "What Does Somebody Have to Do to Get a Job Around Here! 44 Insider Secrets and Tips that Will Get You Hired"by Cynthia Shapiro as it has some advice not covered by this one.If you read both books you will have a pretty good arsenal to tackle interviews and your confidence level will be much higher.
